What this test automation role involves
This vacancy combines automated browser testing with API testing. The description asks for at least seven years of software-testing and automation experience, so applicants should prepare examples of maintaining a test suite across releases, not just writing an initial script. Acceptance criteria, defect reporting, Agile collaboration and CI integration are part of the advertised work. The source highlights separately show 8–15 years; ask the recruiter how that range relates to the description’s seven-year minimum.

Skills to demonstrate in your application
- UI automation: explain a Playwright and TypeScript test you maintained, what it checked and how you investigated failures.
- API automation: show how you tested service responses and error paths, connecting your example to the advertised ReadyAPI and Groovy work.
- Delivery: describe how Git and a CI pipeline supported repeatable test runs and useful defect reports. Use your actual experience rather than adding tools you have not used.
- AI-assisted testing: be ready to explain how you reviewed generated tests and checked their correctness. The vacancy mentions AI prompting; it does not replace the stated testing experience.

Preparing a practical testing example
A small, anonymised example can make your approach easier to discuss: identify the user journey, show the assertion, explain the API checks and describe a failure you diagnosed. Playwright’s official guidance recommends isolated tests and resilient user-facing locators; its API tools also support requests without opening a browser. These are preparation ideas, not extra application requirements.

Software testing in Brussels, Belgium
Actiris lists software test engineer, automated software test engineer and QA Engineer as related names for the software-tester occupation. Its profile covers preparing test plans, creating test scripts, carrying out test phases, analysing test results and producing test reports. This is occupational context, not a statement that this employer requires every activity.
That profile says it lacked sufficient 2025 statistics for this occupation. It therefore does not support a reliable vacancy total, salary benchmark or high-demand ranking for this exact specialism. For this vacancy, the description asks for French or Dutch fluency; the title uses “native”. Ask the recruiter to clarify the required proficiency.
