Cookie Policy
How browser storage, job statistics and external destinations relate to your use of Pathw.
Policy text reviewed: 27 October 2026
Cookies and similar storage
A cookie is a small value a website asks your browser to store and return with later requests. Local storage keeps values in the browser without attaching them to every request. Server-side logs and temporary database records are different: calling a feature cookie-free does not mean it processes no information.
This notice explains the current Pathw job-discovery service and its configurable features. It does not give consent on your behalf or act as a cookie-preference control. Read our Privacy Policy for information about contact messages, technical logs, providers and your rights.
Sign-in and service functionality
WordPress can use sign-in, authentication and settings cookies when an authorised user accesses the administration area. Examples include wordpress_test_cookie, wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_* and wp-settings-* values. Their use and duration depend on sign-in/session choices and WordPress settings; these are not a statement that every anonymous job seeker receives every administrative cookie.
If a page permits comments and you choose to remember your details, WordPress can also use comment_author_* cookies. Their actual expiry is shown by your browser. This optional convenience is separate from browsing jobs or contacting the source to apply.
Our country-grid filter runs in the page, and search links/forms carry the selected job filters in requests. They do not require you to create a public candidate account. Hosting, caching or security services can also use technical mechanisms needed to serve or protect a request.
The custom contact component uses signed form tokens and short-lived server-side replay/rate-limit records. Those records are not themselves browser cookies, and disabling cookies does not erase email or hosting logs.
Optional job statistics
WP Job Manager's optional job-statistics feature measures interactions such as listing views and search impressions. Its standard client implementation uses local-storage keys beginning wpjm-stat- to avoid repeatedly counting an interaction, with a 24-hour logical validity window and later cleanup. Clearing browser storage can remove these keys; a logical expiry timestamp is not a guarantee that every stored entry disappears at that exact instant.
Statistics are a separate feature from job searching, source-feed collection and server security logs. Disabling the feature does not stop those essential operations or delete earlier counts. We do not offer a Pathw statistics opt-out switch in this version and do not claim that this policy page is one.
Optional device storage needs controls appropriate to the actual use and applicable rules. We do not treat an aggregated report as automatically removing all consent or objection requirements. The current feature setting is shown below; this page is a notice, not a statistics preference control.
Current WP Job Manager setting: job statistics are disabled. This setting prevents new collection by that feature; it does not erase earlier counts or unrelated hosting logs.
Advertising, newsletters and external resources
The reviewed configuration does not include a connected newsletter service, configured Google Analytics or an advertising pixel in the inspected settings. Hostinger Reach being installed does not mean a newsletter subscription or marketing campaign is operating. We review this notice and the applicable controls when introducing such features.
Fonts, embedded media, widgets or other external resources can cause your browser to contact their providers if included on a page. The provider then receives technical request information. A plain external link normally contacts the destination when you follow it; it is different from an embedded resource that loads with the page.
Apply links lead to independent job-source sites. Those sites can use their own cookies, registration and tracking, governed by their own notices. Pathw's policy cannot switch off storage used on a different website.
Your browser controls
Your browser lets you inspect, delete or block cookies and site storage. Controls vary by browser and device. Blocking storage or JavaScript can affect sign-in and interactive functions; it is not necessary to accept marketing to read a publicly available job description.
Deleting cookies or local storage does not delete data already held in a mailbox, source service, hosting log or backup. Use the contact details in our Privacy Policy for a request about personal information held by Pathw.
Where we introduce optional storage that needs consent or an objection mechanism, we must provide and test a usable control. A browser instruction or a statement that you agree by browsing is not a substitute for that mechanism.
