PATHW · TRUST & INFORMATION
Privacy Policy
How Pathw handles information when you browse jobs, contact us or follow a link to another service.
Policy text reviewed: 27 October 2026
Who is responsible
Pathw.com is operated by Search Engine Insight Ltd, trading as Pathw. We are the controller for personal information we use to run Pathw and respond to enquiries. Our company number is 15942329; we are registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is 30 Riverhead Close, London, England, E17 5PY. You can contact us at hello@pathw.com.
An employer or external job website is responsible for its own application process and privacy practices. This notice covers Pathw, not the separate services you reach through our links.
Browsing and searching
You can browse our job-discovery pages without opening a candidate account. Public visitor registration and newsletter signup are not offered in the current service. Job applications are made through the linked source; Pathw does not provide a CV-upload or candidate-application service in this version.
Our web hosting and security systems process technical request information such as IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, time, response status and referring information where supplied. Search terms and location filters can appear in requested URLs and server logs. Avoid entering confidential or sensitive information in job-search fields.
The Pathw interface uses the filters you choose to return matching listings. This is not an automated employment decision, assessment of your eligibility or guarantee that an employer will consider your application.
Contact enquiries
If you email us, we receive your address, message and any information or attachments you choose to provide. Where the online form is available, it requests your name, email, enquiry type, message and an optional listing/page URL. We use these details to respond, investigate a reported listing or handle a business enquiry. Providing them is voluntary, but we may be unable to reply without contact details or sufficient context.
The Pathw contact component sends an enquiry by email rather than creating a separate submissions inbox in WordPress. This does not mean no copies exist: our mail transport plugin can log outgoing message content, headers, recipients and delivery status, and our mailbox holds received correspondence.
For abuse prevention, the contact component uses keyed hashes derived from the request IP address and submitted email for short-lived rate-limit counters. Its rate-limit window is 15 minutes; replay-prevention tokens have a two-hour validity window and status notices a five-minute window. Expired temporary records may remain until normal cache/database cleanup or backup rotation. These are server-side records, not a public directory of enquiries. Hosting logs are separate and can contain raw request information.
Do not send passwords, payment-card details, passports, medical information or other unnecessary sensitive material. If you need to report a privacy issue, explain the issue first so we can arrange an appropriate way to handle any necessary evidence.
Current contact-form status: public online delivery is unavailable. You can email hello@pathw.com directly.
Comments, where a page permits them
Our job-discovery pages are not a candidate discussion or public CV service. If a separate page permits comments, WordPress processes the comment, the name and contact details you supply, and technical information such as IP address and browser information for moderation and abuse prevention. An approved comment and its public display name can be visible to others; your email is not intentionally displayed as part of the comment.
Optional remembered-comment details depend on your browser choice. Where avatar images are enabled, an avatar provider such as Gravatar can receive an image request. We keep comments and moderation records while needed to host the discussion and deal with abuse or disputes; you can ask us about correction or deletion. Do not put sensitive information in a public comment.
Why we use personal information
We limit information to what is reasonably needed for the relevant purpose. We do not use your enquiry as a newsletter subscription or sell it as a candidate lead.
- Responding to enquiries and correcting listings: our legitimate interests in providing support, maintaining useful information and handling correspondence; where relevant, taking steps you request before a business contract.
- Operating, securing and troubleshooting the website and email: our legitimate interests in delivering a reliable service, preventing abuse and protecting users and systems.
- Handling legal obligations and requests from competent authorities: compliance with the applicable legal obligation. Establishing or defending legal claims may also involve our legitimate interests.
- Optional device storage or other processing that requires consent: consent, where obtained through an appropriate control. A policy link or continued browsing is not by itself a consent mechanism.
Cookies and job statistics
Cookies and similar browser storage can support sign-in, security and site features. Administrative WordPress cookies mainly apply when an authorised user signs in. Our Cookie Policy explains the distinction between essential functionality, optional job statistics and external websites.
WP Job Manager has an optional job-statistics feature for listing views and search impressions. Its standard implementation uses browser storage to avoid counting repeated interactions and reports counts for listings. The current setting is shown below. We do not describe a browser or a hashed identifier as necessarily anonymous merely because a report is aggregated.
As of the latest configuration review, no configured Google Analytics, advertising pixel or newsletter service was identified in the inspected settings. Optional features and externally supplied resources can change the information processed. We review this notice and the applicable choices when changing the service.
Current WP Job Manager setting: job statistics are disabled. This setting prevents new collection by that feature; it does not erase earlier counts or unrelated hosting logs.
Service providers and external destinations
Hostinger provides the website hosting and the email transport configured for hello@pathw.com. Technical suppliers involved in hosting, backups, security, maintenance and email delivery process the information needed to provide those services. Authorised administrators can access the information needed to support the site; access is not made public.
FluentSMTP is software installed in our WordPress site to route and log outgoing email. Using it does not by itself mean every message is sent to WPManageNinja; the configured transport here is Hostinger SMTP. Email you send or receive also passes through the email services used by the parties to that correspondence.
If you click an apply link, company profile or research reference, you leave Pathw. The destination can receive your IP address and browser request information and can set its own cookies or ask you to sign in. Read its privacy information before submitting an application. Linking to it is not a statement that Pathw controls its recruitment or data practices.
Public job data and AI assistance
We obtain vacancy information from identified sources and retain source links, source identity and review records. Descriptions can contain professional contact information supplied by a source. Our purpose is to help users find and understand advertised jobs; we do not collect private candidate profiles from these feeds. If a listing includes personal information about you and needs correction or removal, contact us with its URL.
We use OpenAI in a controlled editorial workflow to draft optional career guidance from vacancy details and reviewed research. In the current integration, visitor contact enquiries, CVs, applications and visitor browsing histories are not supplied to that workflow. Reviewed research can contain public professional or company information. An API provider has its own service terms and data-handling arrangements; selecting a non-storing response option does not mean that every form of provider logging is eliminated.
AI suggestions are separate from employer requirements and require editorial review before adoption. Pathw does not use this workflow to make hiring decisions about individuals, rank applicants or determine work-authorisation eligibility.
Retention and processing locations
FluentSMTP outgoing-email logs are configured for deletion after 14 days. Cleanup depends on the plugin and the site's scheduled tasks. A log can include a message body and delivery information; deleting that log does not delete the corresponding mailbox message, provider log or backup.
We retain correspondence while reasonably needed to answer and follow up an enquiry, resolve a complaint, maintain a relevant business record or handle a legal issue. We review continued need rather than promising a fixed automatic mailbox deletion period that has not been configured. Hosting/security logs follow the provider's operational rotation and the time needed to investigate abuse or incidents. Backups can retain earlier copies until their normal rotation removes them.
Source and review records are kept while needed to operate listings, avoid duplicates, document corrections and investigate disputes. Genuinely aggregated counts may be kept for comparing the service over time. Administrative records are restricted to authorised access.
Suppliers and recipients can operate in more than one country, so information may be processed outside the UK. The applicable protection depends on the provider and processing arrangement, including any relevant UK adequacy regulations or contractual safeguards. Contact us for details of the arrangements relevant to your information and how to obtain available safeguards. A supplier's UK-facing website or a UK business address does not by itself establish where all processing occurs.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it for future processing. These rights have conditions and exceptions; withdrawal does not invalidate processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Your right to object: you can object to processing based on our legitimate interests by emailing hello@pathw.com and explaining which processing concerns you. We will consider the circumstances and any applicable grounds for continuing. You can object to direct marketing at any time; our current service does not operate a newsletter signup.
We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity and locate the relevant record. You do not have to send an identity document with an initial request. We normally respond to rights requests within one month, subject to lawful extensions and exceptions.
You can complain to us at hello@pathw.com. You can also complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or another competent authority where applicable. You do not have to contact us first to exercise your right to complain.
Security and notice changes
We use access controls and proportionate technical safeguards for the service. No website or email system can promise absolute security. If you report a suspected issue, provide enough information to locate it without including unnecessary confidential data.
We update this notice when our purposes, providers or features change. The review date identifies this text version. Displaying a policy does not create consent to optional tracking.
